Another year, another nomination! Kardinal has been nominated for a 2010 Much Music Video Award (MMVA) in the MuchVibe Hip-Hop Video Of The Year category. The nomination comes for the outstanding video for We Gon Go featuring Riley directed by Canada’s best kept secret, director Chris G.
The visuals are crazy. What makes it that much more crazy is the fact that it was all shot in green screen. So none of the elaborate set was actually there. Every thing was done in a studio that was approximately 20′ x 20′. Everyone seen on screen did a good acting job, because they were standing in a bare room with green walls.
Considering this was the first video we shot with Chris it was definitely a leap of faith to entrust the director with the visuals to a song that conjures strong visuals from the lyrics. Chris worked his magic in post and the video is incredible.
