Kardinal Offishall stars in the first edition of “Once Assembled” by photographer Bobby O’neill. The fine art photographic collection features a selection of historic landmarks where people “Once Assembled” to create culturally significant works of art. In the Toronto edition of the collection Bobby focuses on significant landmarks in Canadian hip hop history and has chosen Kardinal to be the featured Artist.
Entrants are asked to watch the video & name all of the places/people that they recognize from around the city. Whoever submits the most correct answers will win one night’s hotel accommodation downtown T.O., $100 Gift Certificate to Real Sports Bar & Grill (at the ACC), a Gretzky Awards Jacket from Roots (as worn by Kardi in the video) & an autographed Kardi prize pack.
In an effort to make the Genie Awards appeal to a hipper, younger audience the CBC put a greater emphasis on the musicality of movies and brought in none other than Kardinal Offishall as the shows official (no pun intended) DJ. Kardinal worked with the CBC to score the music of the films nominated in the Best Picture category.
